Skull Cicada - 3D print files artprint this model is designed toSkull Cicada. Inspired by the Hawkmoth, aka, the Death's Head moth, I thought the exoskeleton of a Cicada, really lent itself to the design as a sculptural, hard surface reimagining. I scanned an actual Megapomponia cicada specimen, using macro photogrammetry as the basis for this model. Originally printed on a Form 2 with a 40cm wingspan, I have scaled it down, to be printable on small volume printers like the Phrozen Sonic Mini, or Elegoo Mars. I
