The smaller casks encourage greater interaction between the spirit, the oak and the air allowing the whisky to take on lots of character in a shorter period of time. Nose: Peat, barley, oak and pear drops with further orchard fruit depth emerging. Palate: Bonfires and apples. Peaches too, with smoky vanilla. Finish: Toasty oak smoke and hazelnut. 46% ABV
