Domaine de Boissan Gigondas 'Vieilles Vignes' 2023 Languedoc-Roussillon Lusciously sweet yet beautifully balancedThe Gigondas from Domaine de Boissan is an excellent winter wine which is produced from 40 year old vines on gravely terraces in the Rhone. A heady nose is followed by spiced perfumes of blackcurrant. On the palate the initial attack is powerful and strong but quickly giving way to characteristic stone fruit flavours like almonds and prunes. Aged for up to 12 months in barrels.
