This is why RTS have reverse engineered the original shaft out of forged 4340 chromoly steel to prevent failures. They have also been heat treated and hardened to produce a fail proof input shaft for the common Ford C4 transmission. Fits all 1970 onwards C4, C5, C9, C10 gearboxes.
