I was really inspired to take all of these experiences and all of these passions of mine and put them together into a piece that would be my first large bison painting

The sizes specified are the paper dimensions and the overall dimensions of the entire piece will be between 4-7" larger

I wanted to capture this mountain range which overlooked the canyonlands of Utah from the moment I saw them

Capturing a scene in oil paint like this is something I've wanted to do for a long time, but simply couldn't put the pieces together. More recently I've been spending time in the forests again and it's inspired me to revisit this idea. The result is my newest painting that I'm sharing with you today which I titled "Deep Within".
