The texture patterns on this vase were created by hand

I tried to repeat the glaze a number of times and I was not successful (still pretty but not the same)

gathering and compression of one side to repair a section that was trying to collapse

This glaze is denim blue with variation that accentuates the hand-carved patterns

It started out as a symmetrical wheel thrown form, which was then altered by hand. Approximately 5. 25" at the tallest point. The unglazed borders around each color block reveal the raw clay.
