Snipe Celtic Designs linking Ireland's present with theThe distinctive bill of the snipe accounts for one quarter of its overall length, which it uses to find food in the soft ground in the bogland. The tip of the bill is exceptionally flexible and sensitive to catch its unsuspecting pray of worms. A lovely mix of brown, white and black form the remarkable stripe of its head. The oak is particularly suitable for carving this small attractive bird. 19cm high.
