In very good condition overall  - there is a small repair to the centre front of the yoke (probably due to a necklace snagging

In good to very condition overall - there is subtle fading across the shoulders - discolouration & some surface wear at the armpits - a tiny repair under the left armpit & an almost-invisible repair at the right rear armpit - an area of small holes & some rubs at the left neck edge - a small section of broken stitches on the right hand ruched panel - on closer examination an overall scattered faint dark freckling or marking to the crepe & some subtle darkening to the satin parts - some marks & stains inside the hem - some colour bleed on the inside of the cream trim - the top of the front kick pleat has been hand reinforced

Vintage 1940s Suit Fraser Tartan Blue Green Wool Jacket Skirt UK S belted double front panelsAn eye catching vintage 1940s 2 piece suit, made from a medium weight soft wool flannel fabric in a green, blue & brown tartan which I think is Fraser Ancient pattern. The jacket is double breasted with very wide lapels, has a drapey bust & fitted waist, 2 lower patch pockets, & is fully lined with taupe rayon; the skirt has centre box pleats with 3 knife pleats to each side on the front & back; it fastens at the side with a bronze metal 'Lightning'
