The thick textured glass circular base plate is mounted onto the white frame with three chrome screws which secure it in place. The light bulbs can be accessed by removing this plate. The circular textured glass outer shade is made from one piece of glass and fused together which you can barely notice. This glass ring is also held in place with three matching screws
