This sketch was done while I was waiting for the ferry at Spiez

I immediately knew this was going to be in one of my paintings and I was fascinated with painting the details and I simplified the background by using geometric shapes

thus making the center of the fireworks white

We use 100% authentic Epson UltraChrome Pro pigment ink - clinically tested to have print permanence rating (see Wilhelm Research for details) of up to 200 years for colored prints if kept under recommended environmental conditions

The soft colors and textures of the mountain in the background forms the common backdrop of a village scene. The dry grass in the foreground is done by using the dry brush technique and colors are muted to convey the mood during a sunset. As can be seen from the original image, the picture was taken during the day time
