Arizona mines produce more copper than any other state

The three sailboats racing was a nod to how much these places are tied to the sea and sailing

so I painted the background black before apply the metal leaf and that gives it an antique mirror effect

I traced out the design in pencil over the map then painted all the colors at the same time using a wet on wet technique allowing the colors to mix and blend
