Victorian Butterfly Brooch Archaeological revival It is made of 935This butterfly brooch is a marvelous example of Victorian novelty jewelry. Here, a pair of small clam shells form the wings of the butterfly, with the marking on the shells representing the marks on a butterfly's wings. The shells are set in silver and the body is made of silver as well. The pin stem is made of brass. Note: the silver and brass used to construct this brooch is very light gauge and it should be worn with care.
