The ni mai (2 layers) is made from 135Cr3 cutting edge with wrought iron cladding. The back (ura) is hollow ground with a 420mm wheel to ease sharpening and maintenance. Forged to shape and to geometry the blade is ground on water cooled grinding wheel with a stone finish bevel. Specs : Blade length : 160mm Blade height at the shinogi : 25mm Hagane : 135Cr3
